Alfred Aboya, UCLA's starting power forward and best defender, injured his hand after he took a charge against a Southern Illinois player Thursday.

Coach Ben Howland said the hand may be broken and that he wants Aboya to receive and x-ray tonight in New York city before the team flies back to Los Angeles.

"I just hate not knowing," Howland said.

Aboya led the Bruins in scoring with 22 points, as UCLA beat Southern Illinois 77-60 in the third-place consolation game of the 2K Sports Classic.
